Florence Pugh attended the Elle Style Awards 2023 held at The Old Sessions House on Tuesday (September 5) in London, where she picked up the British Icon Award.
We were less than impressed with Florence’s last red carpet outing which took place just before the SAG strike was made official.
But this Alexander McQueen Resort 2024 ivory lace, flower applique dress, is…dare I say? Perfect.
I haven’t been this enamoured by a Florence Pugh look since her Valentino Fall 2022 Haute Couture front row gown back in July 2022.
For the majority, I’m sure you’re glad that this is flattering, and that she’s not twirling around the red carpet in another tulle gown. We’ve had more than enough of those.
I’m sure you’ll even agree that her hairstyle is much improved on this occasion.
I might get slaughtered for this, but I think that McQueen is a better fit for Florence than some of the other labels she tends to favour.
Alexander McQueen has never been one to play by the rules, and defies convention, which can also be said for Florence.
I still believe that Florence has the potential to really wow us, and for me, this is a step in the right direction.
And I’ll conclude by saying that I’m glad her stylist put her in this McQueen dress, and not that Nina Ricci look she put on Billie Piper.
Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.
