Tom Brady asks ex-teammate Rob Gronkowski to join him at his ‘unofficial retirement party’ in Tampa Bay, joking ‘I won’t make you run any sprints’ as NFL legend gets used to life without football after leaving on February 1
Tom Brady has teased former teammate Rob Gronkowski in the lead up to his ‘unofficial retirement party’ in partnership with his NFT brand.
Brady is a co-founder of the NFT platform which has a series of unique collections and experiences on offer.
Since it was founded in 2021, Autograph have partnered with sports stars including Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Wayne Gretzky, Naomi Osaka, Tony Hawk and Simone Biles.
In the lead up to his offseason celebration, Brady – who retired from the NFL on February 1 – tweeted at Gronkowski, who also has partnered with the company.
Tom Brady joked around with ex-New England and Tampa teammate Rob Gronkowski Friday
‘Hey @Autograph family, we’re one month away from my unofficial retirement party in Tampa on March 16th. Can’t wait to celebrate with everyone from The Huddle.
‘You down @RobGronkowski? Going over the list now and think I can get you in…’
Brady wasn’t done there, posting a similar message to Instagram, specifically a story of he and Gronk in more active times while with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
‘A month out from our @autograph.io Huddle End of Season Party! You in @gronk? I promise I won’t make you run any sprints.’
Tickets to the exclusive event wherein Brady will be joined by fellow brand members are not available.
A ‘Season Ticket’ and RSVP – which has since passed – were needed to attend the March 16 experience.
At launch – back in September – season tickets were available for $750 and ensured ‘unique access to exclusive content, digital collectibles, custom-made merchandise, and private, in-person events.’
Brady seems to be making the most of his off-time following his second – and final – retirement from football, continuing his Lets Go! Podcast with Jim Gray, while working on other ventures, including Autograph and his clothing line, Brady Brand.

Earlier this month, he honored a tweet that if a previous post got at least 40,000 likes, he would ‘recreate’ an ad that the brand had shared promoting a set of boxer-briefs

The somewhat surprising departure from football came one year to the day since he first announced his retirement from the NFL, a decision he shockingly reversed just weeks later.
What may have been even more surprising however, is the ‘thirst trap’ photo he posted earlier this month while honoring a tweet to recreate poses from Brady Brand’s modeling campaign.
During his emotional 52-second retirement video posted on social media, Brady said: ‘I’m retiring, for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.
‘It won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year, so… really, thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.
‘My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go over forever, there’s too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.’
