The video of Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw getting entangled with fans is becoming very viral on social media. Sapna, along with her friend, attacked Shaw in Mumbai’s Santacruz area. Sapna Gill is a social media influencer and actress who has worked in Bhojpuri cinema with industry superstars like Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lal Yadav. He has more than 2 lakh followers on Instagram and was born in Chandigarh. Sapna often shares content that includes dance reels, fashion pictures and more on social media platforms. He has acted in films like ‘Kashi Amarnath’, ‘Nirahua Chalal London’ and recently released in 2021 ‘Mera Watan’.
What happened?
It is being told that Gill and his friends asked Prithvi Shaw for a selfie. According to the police, after a while, Shaw did not oblige and a security guard at the venue asked Gill and his friends to leave the venue. The incident took place at a five-star hotel and later when Shaw left the property, he was followed by Sapna and her friend along with a few others.
Shaw, who was traveling with his friend, was stopped at a traffic signal near Oshiwara. Threatened to file a fake case with the police, demanded Rs 50,000. Shaw was also beaten up by Gill. The cricketer was shifted to another car while Yadav and others took their vehicle to Oshiwara. Yadav noticed that three motorcycles and a white colored car were following his vehicle. At 4 am, the pursuers attacked his car while taking a U-turn near a petrol pump on Link Road. Thakur was one of the people following the vehicle and hit its windshield with a bat.
The six men who came on a motorcycle along with Gill and Thakur, who were both sitting in a car, hurled abuses at Yadav and his friends. Yadav then took the car to Oshiwara police station. One of the Thakurs broke the rear window of the car with a baseball bat. Gill and Thakur, who were traveling in a car, were then accompanied by six men on a motorcycle who hurled abuses at Yadav and those accompanying him. Yadav then took the car to Oshiwara police station.
According to the police, the eight accused followed Yadav to the police station and threatened him with Rs 50,000 to settle the case, else he would file a fake police complaint against them. After this, Yadav gave a complaint against the accused. Based on the complaint, the Oshiwara police registered a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 148 (rioting), 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation) and others.
