LaLiga and Netflix come together to create the first sports docuseries produced by the platform in Spain, with the 2023-2024 season of the highest Spanish football competition as the protagonist and whose premiere will be next year, according to a statement from both entities.

Thus, LaLiga will become “the center of the first sports series that Netflix will produce in Spain.” The project, which will be in documentary style, is currently in the pre-production phase, and will focus on the 2023-2024 First Division competition. This new series will follow the trail of other Netflix sports productions such as ‘Formula 1: The emotion of the Grand Prix’ or ‘Break Point’.

“It will have exclusive access to the competition and will also search for the most personal stories of one of the most followed leagues in the world,” Netflix and LaLiga explained in their statement.
