Conor McGregor has arrived at UFC’s headquarter in Las Vegas to start preparations for his long-awaited comeback, with the Irishman set to fight Michael Chandler after stepping away from the sport for the last two years.
The 34-year-old was seen entering the UFC Apex on Thursday ahead of the start of production for another season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ – a reality TV series featuring MMA fighters living together in Sin City before competing against each other to sign with the UFC.
McGregor will coach a team of men’s bantamweights and lightweights that will rival Chandler’s team. Chandler, 36, is an MMA fighter by trade and boosts an impressive 23-8-0 record.
He’s also competed in UFC and holds a a 2-3-0 record after five fights, according to. Like McGregor, he lost his last bout against Dustin Poirier.
Contestants for ‘The Ultimate Fighter 31’ have been in Las Vegas since last Tuesday and are said to be anxious about finally meet McGregor.

Fighters selected for the show were forced to hand over their phones when they learned that they had made the cut, according MMA Junkie.
Chandler has already assembled his team of coaches for the upcoming season, including former UFC light heavyweight and current Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader.
At the end of the series McGregor and Chandler are expected to battle it out in the octagon, though no details about the contest have been revealed.
McGregor’s comeback was confirmed earlier this month. Since the, the former two-weight UFC champion was asked by the Daily Mirror about his return, with the 34-year-old declaring he is ‘very excited to get back.’
‘I’m looking forward to it,’ McGregor said. ‘I’m looking forward to it, I feel good, I feel energetic, I feel ready.
‘You know, I’m throwing up my high kicks faster than I’m throwing out my jab.
‘So I’m very excited to get back.’
McGregor has been out of action himself since suffering a gruesome broken leg in his rematch defeat against Dustin Poirier back in July 2021.
