The UP franchise was smart during the WPL 2023 auction as they bought Kiron Nagvir, Lauren Bell and Rajeshwari Gaikwad at affordable prices. UP Warriors have a balanced squad with a lot of depth. They pulled the trigger for Deepti Sharma, Tahila McGrath and England’s Sophie Ecclestone and the team looks a good mix of youth and experience on paper.
Among the many stars in the team, Alyssa Healy will also be one of the players to watch out for in WPL 2023. She is a destructive batsman, known for her fluent stroke play in international cricket. Along with her, India women’s cricketer Deepti Sharma will also be a player to watch out for in this squad as she was bought by the franchise for Rs 2.6 crore in the auction.
